I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO BECOME A BAIL ENFORCEMENT AGENT OR BOUNTY HUNTER. I AM CERTIFIED AT THE WASHINGTON STATE CRIMINAL JUSTICE CENTER AS A CORRECTIONS OFFICER. I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN BASIC LAW, VERBAL JUDO, HANDCUFFING, PRISONER TRANSPORT, DEFENSIVE TACTICS, THE USE IN DEADLY FORCE, FIREARMS, AND THE USE OF MACE AND PEPPER SPRAY. WA just passed a law regulating Bail Enforcement Agents in April 2004- the

The problem right now is that the infrastructure is not in place to issue

the licenses, approve the training, do background checks, etc. thus

certification or licensing is not yet available.

 

Actually, the law isn't even enforceable until December of 2005- at which

time it will become a misdemeanor offense to work in bail recovery without a

license.
