Bail Enforcement Education and Training

The following audio clip is with a close friend and colleague, Scott MacLean and is a short segment from my online Apprehending Bail Fugitives Seminar.  He owns one of the largest bail bond companies in Maryland- Chesapeake Bail Bonds.  We met when he attended one of my 3 day seminars in Ft. Worth, TX and I am proud to say that he is now highly regarded as one of the best bail investigators on the East Coast.  In this clip we discuss what a bail bondsman is looking for when a bail enforcement agent approaches him for the first time looking to obtain assignments, but remember the real meat of our conversation can only be found in our online seminar (like what to do when he asks you for references- and you don't have any)!

The next set of clips are a few excerpts from a 45 minute interview conducted with a gentleman who was gathering information for a thesis he was writing for post graduate work in Criminal Justice.  Ben is a great interviewer- he asked interesting questions that really made me think about where the bail recovery industry is today and where we are headed in the future.  We talked about State and Federal regulation of this industry, how the media has affected the public's perception about our work, what my typical day and week are like, how an average apprehension scenario unfolds, what characteristics are common to most fugitives, investigator interaction and comparisons with local law enforcement.  Additionally, we talked about why some people want to outlaw our industry and what the consequences could be of such an action, how I got started and what the biggest challenges are I face in my job today.  EXTREMELY important information to the aspiring bail recovery professional... but you can only find the complete audio interview in my online seminar.

The following audio clip is from a voicemail I received from a gentleman in Green Bay, WI.  I admit, I did edit the audio- but ONLY to remove his last name and telephone number and that’s it.  There is just so much I can say here… a felon, mentally ill, wants to use a crossbow, 2 pit bulls for protection and “about one bloodhound for tracking.”  Really the list goes on and on.  Give it a listen and feel my pain.
I honestly cannot make this stuff up… enjoy.
